Tip Toe Theough The Tulips

One of the gifts of life is the changing of the weather and the seasons.  As we relinquish some of our illusion of control, we realize that each change of the weather and each season of the year have many gifts in store for us, if we participate in them and live with them.  When we fight and struggle against the weather and the seasons, we dissipate the energy that could be used for enjoyment.

I love Spring, it’s almost like the world wakes up from an extended nap, of sorts.  Flowers bloom, and here in the Valley we are blessed to have so many orchards and trees that blossom at this time of year, also.  I want to shrug off my winter coat and take a walk in a park.  I am grateful to have my eyes open to this blessing of the seasons. What are your thoughts about spring?

an area lying beyond what is visible or known.

  1. “No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow” Proverb
Happy Easter, Happy Passover, Happy Spring! We are truly blessed.

  2. Beautiful morning here and the sun is rising tickling the tips of the trees with it’s golden rays of warmth. I can finally hear the spring birdies chirping busily and it’s a sweet sweet music to my ears. Plenty of prayers again today and you’re all in them! God bless!

  3. I’m learning, slowly, that what is past yields to what is next. Every lesson, in my experience and understanding is given in love, so I really need not to fear what’s next. But of course I still do, because the little god in me is not yet dead. I’m leaving from a magnificent week at the coast in Florida, headed back to my workaday life, full of reservations about what’s next. But I don’t know what’s next. But the God of my understanding does and He’s demonstrated abundantly that I am loved not because of my virtue, but because of His. Trust is the answer to all my problems.

  4. SMB, I never paid much attention to trees that blossom, and now I can’t get enough of them.

    Daniel, congrats on 5 years!

Albert, may your higher power bring you peace in your time of loss and joy in the memories you keep.

Yesterday I addressed a difficult situation that I was avoiding. It did not go well, but I did it. I do not know how it will sort itself out, but I don’t have to drink over it today. I went to a meeting and enjoyed the fellowship of this program. I have a sponsor that is there for me, and family that loves and supports me. I recognize that I am truly blessed and I wish you all blessings of peace and joy.

  5. Top of the morning family,
By walking with faith / trust, we learn how to persevere through the seasons of life. The season of spring brings growth and renewal. As kids, we would call this a “do-over”. I find joy and peace with a do-over.
    peace / progress

  6. A little chuckle of awareness.
Since you asked…yes, Spring is marvelous: gentle, tender, innocent and its unfolding fraught with mystical, eternal promise.
I am on the northern tip of the South Island of New Zealand; we are entering into the quiet transition from our departing summer into autumn.
It’s a gentle reminder for me that what I see typically depends on where I am standing; that may not be the same place as others. You all have showed me as I learn to see things from points of view other than mine I am able to be more useful.
    Grateful for the gift.
