In The Beginning

In the Big Book of A.A., there is a chapter entitled “There is a Solution.” and on page 25 of that chapter it states “We have found much of heaven and we have been rocketed into a fourth dimension of existence of which we had not even dreamed.” Admitting defeat gave me a true sense of freedom, and a life unlike anything I ever dreamed of. The willingness to believe in this “power” has given me a new existence, a life based in a “new dimension,” a dimension of faith, trust and surrender. I gave up my old life and found a new one. This “new” life is based on spiritual principles which are in opposition to the old “principles.” Instead of mistrust, I found faith. Instead of bias I found open-mindedness. Instead of dishonesty I found honesty. Instead of false pride I found humility. I developed a sense of what it means to be of service to others, and learned the true value of forgiveness. I found a willingness unknown to me before beginning my journey down my spiritual path. I accepted all that was offered, I embraced the spiritual principles and have found them to be my guides to positive behavior. I am blessed beyond measure, and remain grateful for all my many blessings.

  1. My soul rests with you, my Anamchara.

I spent a good bit of time yesterday meditating on the probability and the occurrence of being rocketed into the 4th dimension.

“In the Big Book of A.A., there is a chapter entitled “There is a Solution.” and on page 25 of that chapter it states “We have found much of heaven and we have been rocketed into a fourth dimension of existence of which we had not even dreamed.”– Sister Bonster

There are a few things I am extremely glad I did in one was to make a resolution to pay attention to the wisdom of the ages and another was to carefully consider the proposition to be careful what I/we pray for.

The wisdom of the ages comes to me in all sorts of forms and happenings.
For instance somehow, somewhere I was advised that our deepest longings are our constant prayers so what followed was the reality that my deepest longings work towards perverse and self-centered things such as becoming intoxicated and or dreaming of having an imperious urge satisfied.

These things lead to despair and despondency for they never bring the desired satisfaction.

    So what does?

All my life I have been instructed towards higher purpose and seeking a design for living which would and I found it strangely enough in smoke filled rooms of the early AA I attended.
Pretty quickly it seemed I was constantly bombarded with always positive instruction to make a positive move towards a positive and higher purpose.

I thoughtfully read and prayerfullycontemplated a prayer I was being included in on a daily basis and I always gained by constantly renewing this process and perhaps I’ll just do it now:

    Matthew 6:7-15
“When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. “Pray then in this way: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one. For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

  2. Good catching up again n loved the “today is the tomorrow that i worried about all day yesterday” I don’t like getting behind on work but have obligations today and tomorrow that stop the cash pump from a pumpin however I’m certain i will have shelter and food. I can see what i want to achieve in the distance and will do my best to persevere. May i remain close to God and grateful for the challenges in life. Really liked the reading from Matthew too today. Thanks Harry.

    • oh yeah, I have no website or webpage and this is the first year I will have made enough to even have to claim taxes, sheesh progress is slow

  3. Beautiful words SMB. Thank you for your share.

Just checking in here. Feel very blessed that I have been given the option to substitute God for King Alcohol. This is truly a gift. Peace

  4. Top of the morning family,
In the beginning and again at last night’s meeting I heard…
We know what is wrong with you
    We have solution
You never have to be alone again.
We have good news and bad news here. The good news is you never have to drink again. The bad news is that we’re your new friends. =)

Forgiveness is a heavy metal spiritual tool. As my relationship matures in His spirit, forgiving others is easier when I understand how much Divine Mercy has forgiven me. Today, when I resist forgiving others, there’s a ‘houston, I have problem!’ with my relationship with God.
Each day, we can march forward knowing that no mistake can put us beyond His dimension, His reach, His love. No problem is too much for His mercy.

Today is a good day to have a blessed day.

  5. This fourth dimension stuff was way outside my awareness until fairly recently…and then more was revealed…
It’s heady stuff, but as we move through ( or, in my case gloss over) the quantum physics, the metaphysics begin to describe energetic fields binding all things together in unity…beyond our apparent perception of three dimensions.
Becoming aware of, and participating in, this “binding together” as experiential sensation reveals belongingness to a universe from which I thought I was estranged…some have called it love.
    Grateful for the Gift
