Reaching out to others is one way I use the opportunities God has given me.  “I want the hand of A.A. always to be there, and for that, I am responsible.” Accepting help is an area that requires change in my behavior.  I’m learning to simply say “Thank you.” Alcoholics Anonymous has given me opportunities above and beyond my dreams and hopes. Not only have I learned to give to others, I’m also learning how to receive kind acts from others.  I used to discount opportunities that were presented to me, thinking that there was a “catch” in there, somehow.  I did not trust myself or others and therefore held all opportunities as suspect. Today, I can trust others, I can trust myself and I can definitely trust my Higher Power.
