Our Wrongs(Keeping it Simple)

Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
–Step Five
Step Five can be scary.  We’re to take the wrongs we listed in our Fourth Step and share them with God, ourselves, and another person. We may look for an easier, softer way,  but Step Five stops us. We’re to share the exact nature of our wrongs. Why? So we can take a load off ourselves. So we won’t drink again. By totally sharing our past wrongs, we can belong once more. We can heal. We start to forgive ourselves. We become more humble. When you share your Fifth Step, holding nothing back, you deserve the peace this Step will bring you.

  1. Thank the Lord for this day and for all that is in it.
My times are in his hand.
My soul rests with him, my Anamchara.

It says, “First of all get wisdom, then understanding”.
I suppose I knew a little about what wisdom entails but I thought understanding meant knowing about but something spoke to me and said, “Harry, understanding is about empathy”.
Ever think you need to little empathy in your life?
Walk a mile in their shoes!

I’m Harry, grateful alcoholic and devoted twelve stepper.

  2. Hi the first 5th step I did was blab everything that I could think of and cry a lot. I was not able to comprehend I would and could do more steps or even the rest of them. I did get serious again after being an emotionally bankrupt alcoholic and start the steps over again. Then I begin to get to see the rewards of not dealing with fear and resentment and rising the tools of the as book. I also got a sponsor and made sure I was truly honest, however I my mind allowed me to think she might be hard of hearing and perhaps did not hear my did not hear my garbage. Lol.
Thank you to all who use the as program. And each person that continues. It really has been a blessing.
