Suggestions and Submissions

Dear Friends,

If you would like to make a suggestion for us, you may post it as a comment on this page.   If you want to send us a confidential message, or if you want to submit a reflection for us to post on your behalf, or if you want to send us photos, please send an email (with attachments) to: this24submissions @gmail.com

Submissions should be focused on recovery and photos need to be ones that you personally took, with no recognizable people, and no copyrighted or trademarked material.  Please let us know how you would like your credit to read.  We can’t promise to post everything we receive, but we try to make good use of everyone’s contributions.  Please review our About page to see our terms of use and copyright policies on anything you submit to us.

Thank you for your interest and support!

    • Thank you! We will check it out and see what permissions are required to republish (which is treated differently than personal use). Thanks again!

    • I have sent them an email asking if they will allow us to post some of their information. Maybe they will also add us to their list of online sobriety resources. Thanks again for the great lead. I will keep you apprised on the response.

    • If you look at the cover letter that appears on the home page of silk worth.net, you can see that they are having a dispute with “Darlene” at AAWS – no doubt the same Darlene Smith that sent the cease and desist letter to Anon. Apparently AAWS is not happy with silk worth.net publishing AA materials. Hopefully Silkworth fares better than Anon does.

      • Thank you for you efforts, and for the heads-up. I will be going to silkworth dot net and see if there is any info that I have missed.

        Soto

    • I received a friendly email response from the founder of Silkworth.net, giving us permission to republish their content, so long as we provide a link back to their site as the source of the information. Because they seem to be on the AAWS watch list right now, I am hesitant to upload any of their content. However, their site is indeed rich with information and resources, so I will add them to our “Helpful Links” page. It is interesting to note that Silkworth.net publishes the Daily Reflections but access to them is password restricted. If you reach them through their contact page, they will send you a password.

  1. I firmly believe that the more support there is out there for people, the easier each day is to get through. Alcohol is very addictive, both emotionally and physically. I feel very very lucky that mine was only an emotional prop, which I managed to break by changing everything, breaking with routine, never being alone when depressed, not going to places which tempted me. Having access to a site like this would also have helped, but that was years ago… :-))) Well done, keep it going. 🙂

  2. Hi Zuzu, I agree with Maggie on posting the 4th step example. I am working on the 4th and need all the help I can get. Thanks so much!!

  3. Zuzu/Oggy, is there any way to write the Relection but delay its posting? If you could write it at 10pm your time, or whenever, for that matter, but delay its posting til 2am? Might work a bit more like the old DR. Thoughts everyone?
    Maggie aka ickrat!!

    • Yes that can be done, but I doubt it would affect the traffic or number of comments. People in different time zones will always check in sometime during the 24 hour span and also follow the new shares throughout the day if they wish. Many people prefer commenting on official AA literature, which this is not. Nor is it professional recovery text AAWS has said it will soon offer Daily Reflections with a comment feature. This will more closely match the experience people had at DR. People who want that can keep an eye on the AA.org site to see when the new DR with commentary gets set up. For those who are comfortable with our format and content here can keep reading and sharing if they wish. Maybe it will grow. So long as a handful of people want it, we can keep it going.

  4. I agree!!! I always read but sometimes dont always have the time to write and share. Please keep it going. It is greatly appreciated. Zuzu and Oggy much thanks and Mags great picture. My sister in law in N. Carolina just sent me an awesome storm picture with lightening along with a verse from the Bible of the awesomeness of our HP.

  5. This is a warm and comforting page layout. Yellow ruled paper reminds me of school days, when I was trying to learn. Seems appropriate. Thank-you This24.

    • If you would like to send a photo for us to use, we need to contact you by email, with your permission. Due to our desire to operate this site lawfully, we have three requirements for photos (a) it must be a photo that you personally took (no Internet downloads or photos taken by others) (b) no recognizable people in the photo; and (3) no trademarked names or logos (for example, a photo taken at a Nike store where their merchandise or store logo is visible). Once we establish email contact with you, you should be able to send us photos from your phone. Thanks for helping us out!

      • BTW, we are able to see your email address (mmwhahaha) so you don’t need to publicly post it – just let us know if you want us to email you. Thanks again.

          • Hi A – I did send you an email two days ago saying “From Zuzu” in the heading- you might check spam if you didn’t receive it. Let me know if you can’t find it — we can have Oggy give it a try.

  6. sorry Shah-just click on the link and go to the comments-that will take you right where we can see your comment!! LOL

  7. Thank you so much for this 24 . I use it faithfully every day. I no longer receive the daily posts, I thought I marked the box that showed i want the daily posts, but not the follow up comments. They can be sent to donjl@cactuswax.net. thanks again. Kt

    • I will look into it kt. Just give me a couple of days since I only have my phone now and not a computer.
      Love, Oggy
